The Only Tool That Natively Understands Amazon Web Services Workloads

While traditional backup solutions focus on your data, Arpio was designed to protect your entire environment from catastrophic downtime. Once connected to your AWS accounts, Arpio will continuously replicate the latest data in your S3 bucket to the recovery account and region of your choosing. Unlike other solutions on the market, Arpio also goes beyond your S3 storage to backup and replicate all of the other AWS services in the workload that your S3 bucket supports, making disaster recovery for your entire AWS environment easier than ever to achieve.

Built on AWS Best Practices for Continuous Replication

Arpio is built using AWS’s native capabilities, and adhering to AWS’s best practices around disaster recovery.

Arpio’s DR support for S3 improves on AWS’s native bucket replication capabilities to not only ensure that your data is accurately replicated in your recovery environment, but also that setup is easier than ever. Arpio automates the role creation and configuration needed to replicate your S3 buckets across regions and accounts, eliminating manual work. Arpio has also automated the backfill of existing objects in S3, to ensure that a replicated bucket is an accurate clone of the original bucket. These techniques enable cost efficient DR for the kinds of highly scalable datasets often found in S3.

Go Beyond Backup to Restore Your Environment in Minutes

Arpio was designed to make recovery from unexpected downtime easy, even if your source environment is unavailable. Arpio is a pilot-light disaster recovery solution, so your recovery environment will always be staged and ready to turn up. In the case of a disaster, just clicking a button in the Arpio console will launch your recovery environment in minutes.

When recovering your S3 service, Arpio will ensure that your recovery bucket not only mirrors what is in your production environment, but also that it has been connected to all of its dependent recovery infrastructure, such as SNS topics and SQS queues. Thus, your applications will continue to operate in the recovery environment just as they did in production, with no manual recovery steps required.

How to Protect Your Simple Storage Service Resources in Just 3 Steps

Curious about how to get started protecting your S3 buckets, and the workloads they support? Set up is easy:

1. Connect Arpio to your primary and recovery environments

Arpio connects securely to your primary and recovery environments in accordance with AWS best practices for working with 3rd parties. When setting up an application, Arpio will generate CloudFormation templates for you to install in your environment to set up an IAM role-based trust relationship.

2. Define Your Recovery Point Objective

Arpio can support a recovery point of mere seconds up to 24 hours, depending on your business needs. Tell Arpio what your recovery point objective is for this application, and our software will do the rest.

3. Select the Resources for Arpio to Replicate

Once connected, Arpio will automatically discover all of the resources in your environment and their dependencies. Just check the boxes by the S3 buckets you care about, as well as the other services that support the workload, like compute resources, and Arpio will discover the rest.

Once you hit save, Arpio will begin its first back up and start to replicate resources to your recovery environment right away. That’s all you need to do to get set up!
