Quickly Recover from Any Downtime

Multi-Region Redundancy

70% of major cloud outages impair an entire region. Arpio continuously replicates your entire environment – data & infrastructure – to an alternate AWS region, so you can opt-out of cloud downtime and get back online fast.

Vaulted Data Protection

Your data is the lifeblood of your business. That’s why hackers and ransomware destroy your backups when they attack your environment. Arpio secures your data backups in an immutable vault so you’ll always have a path to recovery.

Rapid Failover

When your systems go down, you need to recover them ASAP. Arpio can rebuild your entire environment, without data loss, as quickly as AWS can re-launch your servers.

Automated Failback

Thankfully, most disasters are temporary. When the outage’s root cause is resolved, Arpio can restore your data to your existing infrastructure in your original environment in minutes.

One Simple Recovery Solution for All Your AWS Services

Your AWS environment is more than just data. Arpio is the only solution that automates recovery for all common application architectures in the cloud.

Virtualized

From lift-and-shift to autoscaling, Arpio protects your EC2 workloads plus the networking, security, monitoring, and IAM they depend upon.

Containerized

Your EKS and ECS clusters -- and their associated workloads -- can be recovered in minutes.

Serverless

Whether you define “serverless” as Lambda or Fargate, Arpio’s automation makes DR for serverless workloads a breeze.

Managed Data Services

EBS, RDS, Aurora, S3, DynamoDB, EFS, FSx... Arpio orchestrates platform-native techniques to back up and recover them all.

"Throughout our evaluation, Arpio was the only solution that made sense. The other options failed to recognize the complexity of our cloud-native workload."

FAQs

You’ve got questions? We’ve got answers.

Doesn’t AWS already have disaster recovery?

There are a lot of backup and recovery features in AWS, but assembling these into a disaster recovery capability is your responsibility. It's part of AWS's "shared responsibility model." You can read about it here.

How will using Arpio impact my AWS bill?

Arpio replicates data and infrastructure into an AWS account that you control, so you'll be responsible for the cost of data storage and transfer. But we use the most cost-effective techniques available in AWS, and our customers often report that their DR environment costs just 1-2% of their production environment.

Can I use Arpio to recover from a ransomware attack?

Yes! Arpio maintains historical snapshots of your environment, and you can use Arpio to recover to a point in time before the ransomware attack began. Arpio also protects your backups so that the attacker can't undermine your ability to recover.

Will there be data loss when I failover with Arpio?

That depends on your recovery point objective (your RPO), and which AWS services you're using. For many services, Arpio can replicate your data as it is updated in production, so there's nothing lost (or close to it!) if you need to failover.

How does failback work with Arpio?

Arpio's failback process takes a snapshot of the data in your recovery environment and restores it to the original infrastructure in your production environment. You can test the failback process as many times as you'd like so you'll be confident that it will work when it's finally time to return to your primary environment.

Do I have to have infrastructure automation in place?

Nope! It's great if you do, but Arpio is driven by what you've got in your production environment, not what's written in your automation. Our customers span the spectrum from no automation to full automation, and everything in between.

How do I test my DR solution with Arpio?

Arpio makes DR testing easy and non-disruptive for your production workloads. Arpio allows you to easily spin up your recovery environment in test mode, giving you an opportunity to validate that your applications would work in a failover scenario. While in test mode, your production system remains online and processing production traffic. And, because of Arpio’s sophisticated automation, the full testing process can often be completed in minutes. Gone are the days of working a long weekend to validate your DR during an outage window.

How does Arpio help me maintain compliance? Does Arpio comply with HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HITRUST standards?

Disaster recovery (and business continuity) is an important component of most compliance regimes, and Arpio’s easy-to-set-up solution makes it easy to comply. Arpio also collects evidence of your recovery point objectives (RPOs), recovery time objectives (RTOs), and all of the testing you've performed, making it easy to show your auditors that you're compliant. Also, Arpio itself is SOC 2 compliant.

Will my source applications be impacted when deploying and operating Arpio?

Nope! The techniques that Arpio uses to back up and replicate your environment are non-disruptive.

Does Arpio keep my data secure? How are my backups stored?

We're proud to have the industry's best security model among SaaS backup solutions. Arpio doesn't have access to your data, and your data never leaves your custody. Your backups are securely stored in an AWS account of your choosing.
