What’s Included

Every package includes Arpio’s comprehensive automated disaster recovery platform and world-class support, as well as a number of “core resources.” Core resources are server and server-like components: EC2, RDS, Aurora, DocumentDB, ElastiCache, S3, EFS, FSX, DynamoDB, Cognito, ECR, Lambda, and Fargate. All other resources, including containers, infrastructure and more, are included in the platform fee.

How does Arpio’s pricing work?

Arpio's base platform fee for each subscription tier comes with a core set of functionality to help you automate and manage your disaster recovery environment. Each package includes a certain number of "core resources" included: servers, databases, file systems, and similar types of "server-like" resources.

Each tier also includes support for a certain number of AWS resources that Arpio counts towards your license. With the Premium and Enterprise products, you can purchase additional billable resource packages to accommodate environments of different sizes.

How does Arpio calculate billable resources in my environment?

Arpio protects 135+ AWS service and resource types, but we only count a handful of those resource types in our licensing. Our current billable resources are: EC2, RDS, Aurora, DocumentDB, ElastiCache, S3, EFS, FSX, DynamoDB, Cognito, ECR, Lambda, and Fargate.

Does Arpio charge based on storage size?

No. Because Arpio does not store any data on your behalf, we do not charge based on the size of the data stores we are protecting. You are only responsible for the copy, egress, and storage charges that Arpio is orchestrating in your AWS DR environment.

What happens if I exceed the amount of billable resources included in my license?

Arpio knows that AWS environments are dynamic, and we will not shut down your DR if you billable resource count fluctuates and/or temporarily exceeds your license count.

How will using Arpio impact my AWS bill?

Arpio replicates data and infrastructure into an AWS account that you control, so you’ll be responsible for the cost of data storage and transfer. We use the most cost-effective techniques available in AWS (the pilot-light model), and our customers often report that their DR environment costs just 1-2% of their production environment.
