The Only Tool That Natively Understands Amazon Web Services Workloads

While traditional backup solutions focus on your data, Arpio was designed to protect your entire environment from critical downtime. Once connected to your environment, Arpio continuously captures the latest data, configuration, and dependencies of your serverless workload. Whether you are using Lambda as an adjunct to a traditional server-based application, or you’ve built a pure serverless workload, Arpio has got you covered.

A Platform Built on AWS Best Practices

Arpio is built on AWS’s native capabilities and is constantly evolving to ensure your disaster recovery solution keeps pace with the innovation of the cloud.

Arpio’s DR support for AWS Lambda backs up your Lambda Functions, published function versions, and the Lambda layers they depend upon.  These stateless resources may not lie at the heart of traditional backup and DR tools, but the workloads that depend on them are nothing without them.  Whether you created these Lambda resources manually, through SAM, via the Serverless Framework, with the CDK, or any other automated approach, Arpio can quickly recover them as part of recovering the full environment.

Failover

Automated Function Recovery

In the case of unexpected downtime, Arpio makes recovery easy, even if your source environment is unavailable.  One button in the Arpio console will restore your full environment in minutes.

When Arpio recovers your Lambda resources, they are not recovered in isolation.  Arpio understands the relationship between these resources and the other data and infrastructure in your environment.  Network connections, attached file systems, and event subscriptions are all reconnected to the other recovered resources in your environment.

Failback is an Arpio feature that allows you to quickly and easily copy the most recent data from your AWS Recovery Environment back to your Primary Environment

Continuous Data Loss Protection for Your Serverless Workloads

Arpio doesn’t stop at protecting your serverless infrastructure.  When using Arpio to protect your AWS Lambda workloads, Arpio will also protect the data they depend upon.  Popular serverless data platforms, like S3 and DynamoDB, can be backed up by Arpio, replicated to the recovery environment, and restored alongside your Lambda infrastructure.  And if your Lambda functions depend on more traditional relational databases, or files stored in EFS, Arpio can protect those as well.  The complete ecosystem of your workloads is protected with a single easy to use solution.

Arpio Automation

Securely Restore Your Workloads

Arpio puts the security of customer workloads first. For that reason, Arpio features the industry’s leading security model among SaaS backup solutions.

After connecting to your environment, Arpio cannot see your data, take data out of your account, or do anything destructive in your production environment. Your applications remain secure, because Arpio doesn’t need privileged access. What’s more, because Arpio is a SaaS solution, there are no agents to install or servers to manage. You’ll get comprehensive disaster recovery protection while maintaining total sovereignty over your applications and your data.

Arpio Protection

Optimize Your Cloud Compliance

With Arpio, meeting your disaster recovery requirement for your Lambda-based workloads is easy. Our solution can be configured to protect your entire environment in under an hour, enabling you to meet your DR needs quickly and without the overhead of a large engineering investment.

Once your application is onboarded to the platform, you can also use Arpio to quickly test your recovery and capture evidence of those tests for auditors.

Whether you are pursuing SOC 2, HiTrust, ISO-27001 or another security framework, Arpio has you covered.

How to Protect Your AWS Lambda Applications in just 3 steps

Curious about how to get started protecting your Lambda workloads? Set up is easy:

1. Connect Arpio to your primary and recovery environments

Arpio connects securely to your primary and recovery environments in accordance with AWS best practices for working with 3rd parties. When setting up an application, Arpio will generate CloudFormation templates for you to install in your environment to set up an IAM role-based trust relationship.

2. Define Your Recovery Point Objective

Arpio can support a recovery point of mere seconds up to 24 hours, depending on your business needs. Tell Arpio what your recovery point objective is for this application, and our software will do the rest.

3. Select the Resources for Arpio to Replicate

Once connected, Arpio will automatically discover all of the resources in your environment and their dependencies. Just check the boxes by the Lambda functions you care about, as well as the other services that support the workload, like SNS topics or SQS queues, and Arpio will discover the rest.

Once you hit save, Arpio will begin its first back up and start to replicate resources to your recovery environment right away. That’s all you need to do to get set up!
