EC2

The Only Disaster Recovery Tool That Natively Understands Amazon Web Services Workloads

Unlike standard backup systems that concentrate only on your data, Arpio was built to safeguard your entire AWS environment against catastrophic downtime. Once connected to your environment, Arpio continuously backs up the most recent data and configuration of your EC2 workloads. In the event of an outage, Arpio can recover everything that makes up your AWS environment.  Whether you’re hand managing individual virtual servers, or deploying fleets of autoscaling VMs, Arpio’s got you covered.

Our Platform is Built on AWS Best Practices

Following Amazon’s best practices, Arpio builds on native data protection features in AWS. And it is constantly evolving to make sure your disaster recovery solution stays up to date with cloud innovation.

Arpio’s DR support for EC2 gives you the choice between cost-efficient EBS snapshot replication or real-time replication with Amazon Elastic Disaster Recovery’s block-replication technology.  You can mix and match both approaches to optimize the costs of achieving your business’s recovery point objective.

Failover

Restore Your Environment in Minutes and Minimize Downtime During an Outage

Arpio makes recovering from any disaster simple, even if your source environment is unavailable. Because Arpio is a pilot-light disaster recovery solution, your recovery environment is always ready to go. If a failure occurs, you can quickly restore service with a single button in the Arpio console.

Arpio restores your EC2 instances exactly as they’re configured and running in your production environment.  By default, Arpio replicates the IP addresses of the servers so that any application configuration that references an IP address is still valid.  No reconfiguration is required after failover.

Arpio can also be configured to launch your EC2 instances in a sequence according to application-layer dependencies.  If your database server (even if it’s running in RDS) needs to be recovered before your application servers come online, that is easily achieved.

Failback is an Arpio feature that allows you to quickly and easily copy the most recent data from your AWS Recovery Environment back to your Primary Environment

Get Continuous Data Loss Protection for Your Entire Infrastructure

When using Arpio to protect your EC2 workloads, Arpio will recover not only your server data, but also all of the server configuration and dependent VPC networking, Security Groups, CloudWatch Monitoring, IAM Instance Profiles and Roles, and everything else the servers depend upon.  Further, if your environment relies upon Elastic Load Balancing, Arpio will restore those entities, configured to send traffic to the replicated servers in your recovery environment.

Arpio Automation

Maintain Total Sovereignty of Your Workloads With Secure Automation

Arpio is a SaaS solution, so there are no agents to install and no servers to manage. Setting up your entire disaster recovery solution takes less than 30 minutes. Simply connect Arpio to your environments and select the primary resources you’d like to protect; Arpio natively understands their dependencies and will automatically discover the rest.

Our customers trust us to keep their applications protected and secure. That’s why we have developed the industry’s leading security model among SaaS backup solutions. Arpio cannot see your data, take data out of your account, or do anything destructive in your production environment. Your applications remain secure, because Arpio doesn’t need privileged access. With Arpio, you get comprehensive disaster recovery protection while maintaining total sovereignty over your applications and your data.

Arpio Protection

Easily Optimize Your Cloud Compliance

Whether you are pursuing SOC 2, HiTrust, ISO-27001 or some other security framework, having a solid BCDR strategy in place is critical. With Arpio, meeting your disaster recovery requirement for your EC2-based workloads is easy. Our solution can be configured to protect your entire environment in under an hour. You can also use Arpio to quickly test your recovery and capture evidence of those tests for auditors.

How to Protect Your Elastic Compute Cloud Resources in just 3 steps

Curious about how to get started protecting your EC2 workloads? Set up is easy:

1. Connect Arpio to your primary and recovery environments

Arpio connects securely to your primary and recovery environments in accordance with AWS best practices for working with 3rd parties. When setting up an application, Arpio will generate CloudFormation templates for you to install in your environment to set up an IAM role-based trust relationship.

2. Define Your Recovery Point Objective

Arpio can support a recovery point of mere seconds up to 24 hours, depending on your business needs. Tell Arpio what your recovery point objective is for this application, and our software will do the rest.

3. Select the Resources for Arpio to Replicate

Once connected, Arpio will automatically discover all of the resources in your environment and their dependencies. Just check the boxes by the EC2 instances you care about, as well as the other services that support the workload, like RDS managed databases, and EFS file systems, and Arpio will discover the rest.

Once you hit save, Arpio will begin its first back up and start to replicate resources to your recovery environment right away. That’s all you need to do to get set up!
