Arpio Now Supports Disaster Recovery for AWS Secrets Manager
Arpio is pleased to announce that it now supports disaster recovery for AWS Secrets Manager. The release of Secrets Manager support is yet another step towards ensuring that Arpio provides the most comprehensive disaster recovery capability for AWS workloads on the market.
With Arpio protecting your AWS Secrets Manager service, your secrets will be replicated to an alternate region, as well as a secondary locked down account, going beyond the native multi-region secret capability. This added protection ensures that you are able to quickly recover your application to clean infrastructure in an alternate account, should your primary account be compromised. What’s more, Arpio will continually backup not only your current secret values, but also their version history, making it easy to recover your entire environment to a previous point-in-time backup.
Arpio’s Secrets Manager support will also backup and replicate the configuration surrounding your secrets, including your resource policies, as well as the Lambda function that controls your secrets rotation – eliminating the manual work needed to re-configure and re-provision your secrets in your recovery environment in the event of a failover. If your secret values include the hostname of another resource like a database server, Arpio will also translate the hostname to the replicated server in your recovery environment using DNS aliasing.
Arpio’s disaster recovery capability for AWS Secrets Manager works seamlessly alongside the 70+ other AWS resources that Arpio also supports, making it easier than ever to quickly recover your critical cloud infrastructure and data in the event of unexpected downtime.
