Arpio’s automated disaster recovery capabilities now support workloads built on AWS Lambda
We are excited to announce that Arpio’s automated disaster recovery capabilities now support workloads built on AWS Lambda. This release broadens our already extensive coverage for AWS’s library of managed services, and deepens our support for serverless workloads.
“Our goal with Arpio is to provide an easy-to-use, secure, and comprehensive disaster recovery solution for applications running on AWS – regardless of their architecture,” says Doug Neumann, Co-founder and CEO of Arpio. “With support for AWS Lambda, we have taken another important step towards meeting our customers where they are and providing the coverage they need to quickly recover from any kind of outage.”
When using Arpio to protect workloads that include Lambda functions, Arpio backs both the configuration and the application code of those functions. Additionally, Arpio will back up surrounding infrastructure such as attached VPCs and EFS file systems, integrated SQS queues, and S3 buckets. Upon recovery, Arpio restores all of these entities in an integrated fashion so that your application picks up operating exactly where it left off.

Support for AWS Lambda is available immediately for all Arpio customers. Adjacent services like DynamoDB and API Gateway will be available later in 2022, as part of a broader initiative to ensure comprehensive support for serverless workloads.
