Arpio is sold as an annual subscription that includes a platform fee and a set number of core resources that can be protected in your disaster recovery environment.
Each subscription tier is designed for a different stage of your business and DR program, with features and capacity that scale accordingly.
Arpio supports dozens of services and resource types across AWS and Azure, but we only count a handful of those resource types in our licensing model. Those resources that count against your Arpio license are what we deem ‘core resources’ (also sometimes referred to as ‘billable resources’). They are typically ‘server-like’ resources, such as virtual machines, databases, and filesystems.
Arpio calculates your core resource utilization by analyzing the core resources protected across your Arpio applications. If you are using a dual cloud subscription, your core resource license will be applied across your Arpio applications, agnostic of cloud.

No. Because Arpio does not store any data on your behalf, we do not charge based on the size of the data stores we are protecting. You are only responsible for the copy, egress, and storage charges that Arpio is orchestrating in your cloud environment.
Arpio knows that cloud environments are dynamic, and we will not shut down your DR if you billable resource count fluctuates and/or temporarily exceeds your license count.
Arpio orchestrates disaster recovery using cloud native technologies, within a cloud environment that you control, so you’ll be responsible for the cost of data storage and transfer.
We always use the most cost-effective techniques available in AWS and Azure, and our customers often report that their DR environment costs just 1-2% of their production environment.
